The Register: Freeserve gets mad with 'abnormal' users

Freeswerve (sic) - Britain's biggest ISP - is to get tough with Net users it believes are abusing its 24/7 unmetered service.

It's about to send out emails to up to 700 people it claims are using Unlimited Freeserve Time for more than 16 hours a day.

I'm an Unlimited Freeserve customer and the service has deteriorated markedly in the last month or so but it's unlikely that 700 people are to blame for the appalling connection rate I get - especially in the evenings. I have plans to script the ARA connect as I'm really getting fed up of the BT lady's canned message "the BT Network is busy at the moment, please try again later". Aargh! I reckon that I could easily spend (an elapsed) 16 hours a day waiting to get onto the Freeswerve network - it's that bad.
